ABOUT US
Julian Bertino Sound has been recording in Canada's National Capital Region for over 5 years. This includes work with the National Arts Centre Young Artists Program, Music and Beyond, and being technical director of Amy Brandon's 21st Century Guitar Conference.
Julian has a Master of Music Degree in 10-String Guitar Performance, a Master of Arts in Composition, a Bachelor of Music, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Classical Guitar performance and Music Composition.
He studied guitar with Patrick Roux, Philip Candelaria, Denis Donegani, Dr. Matthew Gould (of Duo46), Louis Trepanier, and composition with Kelly-Marie Murphy, John Gordon Armstrong and Frederic Lacroix. He has premiered compositions and performed internationally in masterclasses and festivals, including performances for Johannes Möller, Odair Assad, Marcin Dylla, Bruce Holzman, Adam Holzman, Nicholas Goluses, Lorenzo Micheli and Matteo Mela (SoloDuo), and others.
He has commissioned over an hour of original works for the 10-String Guitar from celebrated Canadian composers, to be released on his forthcoming debut album, entitled "This Space".
